Sikkim TET 2020 : STET is popularly known as Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) and it is organized by Sikkim Human Resource Development Department (HRDD) . STET is a state level eligibility test and it is conducted for the teachers recruitment in Government Primary Schools and Higher Primary Schools. Primary level classes include I to V whereas the Upper primary level class includes VI to VIII. Eligibility Criteria for Sikkim TET

Before going to fill the STET 2020 Application Form Candidates must check their eligibility. The eligibility criteria to apply for this examination is provided in below.

Nationality:-

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  •  And must satisfy the local/non-local status requirement as per notified by the authority.

For Lower Primary Level: (Class I – V)

  • Applicants must be completed Senior Secondary/10+2  with a minimum of 45% marks or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of education (B.Ed.) / Two year diploma in education (D.El.Ed) / 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Bachelor Degree BA / B.Sc passed with minimum 50% marks and B.ED qualified candidates can also apply for examination.

For Upper Primary Level: (Class VI – VIII)

  • Candidates should have passed Graduation BA/B.Sc with minimum 50% marks and also must have B.Ed from recognized University.
  • OR appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / B.A. (Ed.)/  B.Ed B.Sc. (Ed.), (Special Education) with minimum 50% marks in BA/ B.Sc those candidates are eligible for Sikkim TET.

Age Limit :-

  • Candidate’s age must be 21 years as on January 2020 and the maximum is 35 years.
  • For reserved category (SC/ST/PH) candidates 5% Age relaxation will be applicable as per board norms.

Application Fee

For all the Category Candidates Application fee is – Rs. 400 /-

The fee payment can be done via net banking, debit/credit card.

There is a another way to pay the fee through offline mode as specified by the authorities.

Sikkim TET 2020 Online Application

  1. STET Application Form has been released by Sikkim Human Resource Development Department (HRDD) through online mode at their official website.
  2. Application Form will be available on July 2020 Tentatively.
  3. Candidates can visit official website or click the below link
  4. In Home tab check for “Apply Online” link and Click on it.
  5. Candidate have to Pay the Application fee through TS Online or Net Banking Or Credit / Debit Cards.
  6. Then Fill the Online Application form with required details.
  7. Candidates need to upload their scanned documents of photograph and signature should be in JPG format.
  8. Image of photograph and signature must be required size as prescribed by the authority.
  9. After successfully uploading the documents, select the test centre. Applicants can choose two test centers, one of which is primary and secondary.
  10. The Exam Conducting Authority will provide the correction of the Sikkim TET application form through online mode.
  11. Now once again check the details you entered then click the Submit button.
  12. Candidate need to take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Sikkim TET 2020 Exam Pattern

Sikkim TET Conducting Authority has provided exam pattern and some instructions to candidates. Here Examination pattern is provided below,candidate must know the examination pattern details.

  • STET Exam will be held in offline mode.
  • Duration of the exam will be 2 Hours 30 Mins.
  • Only Objective type of questions will be asked in the exam.
  • The Question paper consists of 150 questions
  • Each Correct answer will be awarded for 1 mark
  • No negative marks for wrong answers.

Sikkim TET Selection Process

The candidate selection will be based on their performance in following given sections. qualified candidates in following sections will be appointed as teachers in government primary schools (from 1st to 5th class) and higher primary schools (from 6th to 8th class).

  • Candidates should be examined in both divisions and both papers and they must cleared two papers separately.
  • Paper-I will be conducted for the primary teacher (class 1st to 5th) and those candidates who want to teach for 1 to 5 classes can apply.
  • Paper II will be held for candidates who want to become a teacher for 6 to 8 classes.
Sikkim TET 2020 Admit Card

Candidates can get their Admit Card through online mode from the official website of Sikkim TET Conducting Authority. It can be available from last week of March 2020 tentatively. Candidates should download their Sikkim TET 2020 Admit Card by entering the required details like Registration Number and Date of Birth.Before downloading Admit Card Candidates should check their details mentioned in the card and then download their Sikkim TET 2020 Admit Card. If you see any mistakes in the card, report to the exam conducting Authority.
